From barking sea lions, whale-watching, and windswept beaches — to the arching Yaquina Bay Bridge and working harbor — Newport has a rich history. This town on the central Oregon coast is all about commercial fishing, crabbing, seafood processing, scientific research, good beer, good coffee, fresh seafood, and tourism (where else can you find Ripley’s Believe It or Not just across the water from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration building?!)
